I'm an IBEW Journeyman Lineman from the Philadelphia area. I have a strong passion for leadership and a purpose to change the mentality around safety in the utility/construction industry. I've experienced losses, injuries, and close calls happening to people whom I've worked side by side with in the past, and every one of them could've been avoided. Through my studies and practice of leadership skills, safety has gone beyond the rules we are informed of ever so often and is in our hands as frontline workers to teach and lead the field.
Fridays Are For The Men is an opportunity to reflect on those situations and have a common goal to make every thought, step, and action a priority toward every person going home to their family every day. The two best days of the blue collar week are pay day and go home day, and everyone deserves to have both through retirement. What are you doing today to make sure you and your men get through the week?
As a visitor here, you are part of a fantastic community and you probably said "Damn right, Friday's are for the men"! You may be a field leader, hands on and involved with your crew. Or a crew member working side by side with people who have the same "get some" mentality day in and day out. Challenge yourself to be involved in making safety at priority and being sure everyone gets home each day!
Thanks for being a part of this community and taking the time to consider this purpose. There are plenty of ways you can get involved in this movement. Follow us on social media and grab a FA4TM sticker! Drop a comment, send a pic or video, grab some merch, and make Friday, for the men!
